Analysts Whom I Admire

Alex the Analyst

Alex Freberg aka 'Alex the Analyst' is definitely one of my go-to data analysis resources. I follow him on socials such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. His YouTube channel, which he is most known for, has around 326K subscribers (as of 2022).

He has a great sense of humor and an awesome learning mentality. He does not take himself too seriously. In fact, he makes mistakes on camera, but he doesn't edit them out as he intentionally shares this with his audience and laughs and learns along with us.

He has a very cool story of how he got into the data analytics field, so check out his video! "How I Changed Careers to Become a Data Analyst | Alex The Analyst Show | Episode 2"

Professor Carolyn Kmet ("Prof K")

Another one of my favorite and go-to analysts whom I admire is Carolyn Kmet! (She is otherwise known as "Prof K" by my fellow colleagues and I). I am proud to say "I know her!'.

I still remember the first day of her graduate level Data-Driven Decision-Making synchronous online course. I happened to be the first student online and though I was nervous to take the course, she showed both warmth and ease in making advanced data analysis concepts seem easy, which helped with my nerves and learning! More over, despite impressive background in Marketing and Data Analysis for well known companies such as Groupon, she composes herself with such genuine humility.
